Help Sampson Heal!
Sampson came to the shelter in early August, badly bruised and broken. The swelling in his body has gone down enough that he is now ready for surgery to repair his broken bone. Sampson is an amazing little guy - he loves to cuddle, has a fighter's spirit, and right now, he needs help to get back on his feet again.
We anticipate that the surgery and after-care will cost about $2,500. We are asking for your help to raise the first $1,000 while we seek out grant funding for the remaining costs. Please donate and help get Sampson through this surgery. This will get him on the next step on his road to recovery and one step closer to playing and running around like he deserves to be!
More information about Upper Rio Grande Animal Society: The Upper Rio Grande Animal Society Conour Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing a safe environment for the shelter and care of animals in need and for the prevention of cruelty and abuse of all animals. We support six counties in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, an area of 8,000 square miles. The Valley is mainly agricultural and is also one of the poorest rural areas of Colorado, with a poverty rate estimated at between 20-25% in 2019. We help over 350 animals a year to find new loving homes.
