Lawn Mower Accident
Donation protected
On August 19th, 2022, I got the worst phone call of my life . My wife was home alone with one of my three children and mowing grass. She had no one to watch the three-year-old and put her on the mower with her.
I was leaving work on Friday at 3pm when a neighbor called me and I just knew something was wrong . He informed me that there was an accident with my little girl falling off the zero-turn mower. I asked if she is alive. She is conscience; please get home as soon as possible!
Arriving home to ‘Fire and Rescue, ‘Ambulance Services’ and a ‘Air Med helicopter in my backyard. I knew it was not going to be good news for our family. My little girl had fallen off the mower and deck passed over her right arm, basically amputating it at mid-forearm and amputating forefingers. It was a very serious injury with lots of blood loss.
She was life-flighted to Our lady Of The Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. As of October 30th, she has had a total of 15 procedures done, with some being major surgeries. Surgeons were able to save her forearm and thumb.
She is requesting help with her recovery; medical bills are starting to come in, and she will need physical therapy and a future prosthetic glove with articulating fingers.
How to help?
Donations would be a huge blessing to her and her family
