Book Vending Machine
Donation protected
We were drinking coffee during a lazy Sunday morning, and while watching the television show "Uplift," we viewed a story about a school with a book vending machine. Yes, a book vending machine. We immediately said, our elementary school has to have one! Students earn good coins through acts of kindness, manners, tasks of good deeds, unselfish acts...well, you get the point. After a bit of research, it looks like it will cost roughly $4,000 for the machine, and then there are the books. We will go every route to try to get a grant but remember, there are still the books even if we get the grant. I know $4,000 seems quite an amount, but I also know we can do this. Let there be no doubt, WE WILL RAISE THIS MONEY, AND WE WILL GET OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL A BOOK VENDING MACHINE. Kids get to KEEP the book they earned once they make that very special trip to the book vending machine. So, if you can, I'm asking for an act of kindness. Please donate what you can; please SHARE this link with everyone you know and a few strangers! We can do this. I will keep you updated every step of the way, with pics, photos, you name it. Once we hit our mark, we will purchase the book vending machine immediately and will donate it straight to North Harlem Elementary School. We would like to reach our goal before the end of this school year. I will post receipts, expenses, whatever it takes, for you know we are too legit to quit. Please donate today, so kids can "earn" their gold coin tomorrow and read and read and read in the future.
