Sea Breeze Farm Smokehouse Fire

As many of you may have heard, our restaurant and butcher shop facility in the town of Vashon caught on fire yesterday afternoon (6/24/2015) at about 1pm. Our smokehouse is destroyed and our Walk-in refrigerated locker has been severely damaged and must be replaced. We are in crisis mode but are pulling through. Fortunately, much of our product was on the truck to the Columbia City Farmer's Market, so we have product to bring to you this week, but we have suffered extensive losses of our Grass-Fed artisan meats, dairy and restaurant preparations in the walk-in and will have severely limited production in coming weeks. Chef Michael McQuaid valiantly & successfully contained the blaze until the island Fire & Rescue crew arrived. The building itself has suffered some structural and cosmetic damage, but we are still in operation. Thank you for your support and patience as we struggle through this loss.
