Memorial Fund for Lt. Col. Billy "Taz" Sullivan
On June 7th, Lt. Col. Billy "Taz" Sullivan suffered a fatal accident while flying his personal aircraft.
Billy was a force multiplier for all who knew him and was truly larger than life. His death has impacted people across the world because he had a mission to help and connect with everyone he knew. He had a thirst for life and wanted to share his love of aviation and passion for adventure with anyone and everyone he encountered.
Taz was a 2006 graduate of the USAF Academy, had over 1,500 hours in the Mighty F-15 Eagle, and served as both an instructor pilot and evaluator, and was recently appointed as the Director of Operations for the 194th Fighter Squadron. He was at the pinnacle of his Air Force and aviation career. His passion for life carried over into many aspects of life. He was so contagious with his zest for life and always had an uplifting beat with every word he gave you.
Billy lived in many places throughout his life but Maryland was always his home. We would like to create a space for family and friends to honor and pay their respects. To bring our community together and honor Billy we have been approved to add a memorial for Billy at the Ryan Dennison Memorial in the Urbana District Park.
We will hold a dedication for the memorial in Spring 2022.
We are asking for $2,500 to help cover the cost of the memorial. Additional donations will be given to the Semper Fi and America's Fund on behalf of Billy and as requested by his family.
