Brantley’s Medical Fund

Being born 4 months premature has caused Brantley a long list of medical complications that has resulted in multiple chronic diseases and disabilities, leaving him with many special needs. In his short 2 years of life, he has endured a 261 day NICU stay- where he fought for his life, 9 surgeries, countless blood transfusions, over 20 ER visits, more than a dozen hospital admissions- including multiple stays in Intensive Care, and so much more. Because of his illnesses Brantley has so many special needs to be met, that insurance alone just won’t cover. Some of his diagnosis’s include Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Stage 4 ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity), Cerebral Palsey, Chronic Lung Disease, and Pulmonary Hypertension. These are not all of Brantley’s diagnosis’s, but the ones that require extra medical needs and attention. We are blessed to have insurance that covers many of Brantley’s medical costs, but overwhelmed with the list of needs that insurance will not, or cannot, cover. We have realized that this list is truly never ending, as many of Brantley’s medical issues are life long.  Having a medically fragile child, with special needs and disabilities changes and effects EVERYTHING. Unfortunately insurance can’t cover a house that is handicap accessible, a car that can not only fit all of your children- but also all of your child’s medical equipment (oxygen tank, walker/ wheelchair, suction machine, pulse ox monitor, etc.), medical supplies in home such as a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, therapy equipment, medications, etc., new bifocals that are needed due to eye surgery, a specific car seat to help your child not vomit and/ or choke on vomit in the car, travel expenses to see new specialists out of town... the list is never ending. 
We have created these t-shirts and hats to support Brantley’s journey, and constant battle with chronic illnesses. We have set up a specific account for any and all of Brantley’s medical needs, and we are asking for any donations to help with this journey! 
We designed these shirts and hats to show that we all stand together to fight WITH Brantley, and that he is not alone in this battle. With a $20 donation you can receive a t-shirt (in any size, including onesies and plus sizes!). With a $10 donation you can receive a “Brantley Strong” hat (comes in most colors, and black flat bill)! Anything and everything is appreciated!
