Nathan Mora was a bright and happy child who courageously battled Neuroblastoma, rare cancer that reaches very few children. Nathan was diagnosed in October of 2016 with Stage-4 and was a high-risk patient when he was just seven years old.
During his journey, he lived in and out of hospitals while his family was searching for life-saving treatment. Unfortunately, Nathan was non-responsive to traditional chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, immune therapies or surgeries.
Throughout this battle, Nathan had become a hero and inspiration to his family and friends, showing enormous strength and dedication to each treatment, never complaining and always following the instructions of his doctors and parents. Nathan has shown the world how love has no limits and how hope was always the key to keep fighting. Nathan’s mother, Monica, had to leave her job to care for Nathan during these trying times.
In recent weeks, Nathan relapsed and had been hospitalized at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, where the tumors continued to grow at a rate faster than the medicine could fight. Throughout this time, Nathan continued to smile, played his favorite video games, reading and watching movies.
Sadly, Nathan Mora succumbed to cancer this past Sat evening, December 8, 2018. Although Nathan passed, he did not do so without courageously fighting. This GoFoundMe has been established to assist her mother Monica Villagomez and his father Alexander Mora in the future cost of the funeral services and to help the family in moving forward while doing so in memory of their beloved son, brother, and friend Nathan.
