Family of 9 lost everything

I'm organizing a fundraiser to support my cousin, her husband and 7 children, in Texas, who has faced the devastating loss of her home due to recent floods. While flood insurance will take care of the mortgage, it falls short of addressing the full scope of the disaster. Her neighborhood, comprising 9 homes, unfortunately, lies outside the FEMA emergency declaration zone, leaving them without crucial aid. The estimated cost for repairs and replacements, following severe damage from sewer water, is around $50,000. Thankfully, friends have rallied to help with the initial demolition, setting the stage for rebuilding. However, the journey ahead is lengthy and challenging. This fundraiser aims to alleviate the burden by covering living expenses, including food and clothing, and contributing towards the purchase of rebuilding costs and new appliances.
