HELP BABY BRAX

Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Kristy  and I have started this go fund me to try help a friend who has been forced to press pause on her life to support her little man Brax who has so far been in hospital for a little over a month . Little Braxy boy as we love to call him hasn’t had a great start to life. Brax was born with Hirschsprung's and had two operations before he was even 8weekx old which then led to him getting sepsis and being put into an induced coma and flown to Brisbane Children’s hospital for dyalsis ! He has had multiple visits to the children’s hospital during the past 2 years. Brax now suffers with a Chronic Kidney Disease due to contracting sepsis during his last visit to hospital and was last week placed onto dialysis as his little kidneys are not capable of doing their job. The dialysis process hasn’t been pleasant for young Brax (or Mum) and the multiple wires and tubes running through this precious young guy is heartbreaking. Since being in hospital for the past into and a bit , Brax has been suffering from dangerously high blood pressure which is causing issues with the arteries to his heart, which could lead to needing a stint. The Drs are trying to use different medication to bring it down, but every medication used seems to counteract with something else, causing further issues and leaving young Brax with the high blood pressure. He contracted RSV and Pneumonia while in hospital on top of this. Brax also suffered a mini stroke, at the age of 2. This has caused slurry speech and unstable walking, however after a recent MRI, Drs are confident he will make a full recovery from the stroke. Brax is retaining so much fluid that his little eyes are barely open due to being so swollen and his skin is tight. He is uncomfortable and even at times pushes Mummy’s hand away as he doesn’t want anyone to touch him. Drs are advising that Brax will be on dialysis for a long period of time and are looking at inserting a permanent line through his chest due to his veins not being strong enough in the side of his neck, where they have previously been placed. Even when Brax is released, he will be going home on dialysis until he is well enough for his little body to accept a Kidney Transplant, once they source one. We have no indication of how long this could take. Krystal is trying her hardest to pull it all together and find balance between being with Brax in Brisbane and back home on the Gold Coast with her daughter. Not only is it difficult to balance the time but the financial impact is starting to take its toll on Krystal and her family. Unfortunately the day to day bills don’t stop, so together with the current cost of living and now trying to make ends meet with the massive fuel bill and other expenses that are arising, times are getting extremely rough. It was one thing for these hard times to fall so close to Christmas, but then Krystal’s home town was damaged by the tornado, resulting in 5 days of power loss and loss of perishables. Luckily there was minimal damage to Krystal’s property other than a damaged pool, gazebo and trampoline. Krystal isn’t one to ask for help and has struggled with the idea of doing so. If you are in a position to spare a dollar or two, to support our handsome little man and his family during this hard time, it would be appreciated more than you know. We know how hard times are for everyone, so please if you are unable to provide support financially, all we ask is that you keep Brax, Krystal and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
