On October 6th, my dear friend Aimee experienced a stroke. Fortunately she was able to receive treatment fairly quickly. Even so she has a road of recovery ahead of her, including cognitive, occupational, and physical therapies, and is on Dr's orders not to go back to work until after the New Year.
