In Memory of Kathy Chung

My name Jennifer Garcia, and I am a home & hospital teacher at Duarte Unified School District. Kalvin is one of my amazing students. Although he has multiple disabilities and health conditions, he continues to amaze me. His strength and bravery are evident as he has experienced multiple hospital visits. Just in August, he was hospitalized for over a month. Kalvin is one of the most loving and caring people I have met. He is empathetic and loves deeply, and he loved his mom.

As a home & hospital teacher, I am lucky to be able to teach my students in their homes. I've had the wonderful opportunity to get to know Kalvin and his family, including his Mom, Kathy. Kathy also had several complications and health conditions and fought to survive until her last breath on November 28. She loved Kalvin so much and always smiled widely, reminding me she was his mom.

Kalvin's aunt, Helen, has cared for her sister, Kalvin, and her daughter. I am asking for your donation to help Helen pay for funeral expenses. I wish I could cover all the costs, but I cannot do it alone.
