Help with house fire

Hi, my name is Kathie and my daughter's house caught fire on July 31st. Thank God everyone made it out safe but everthing in the basment was lost including all mechanicals and there is extensive smoke and water damage through the rest if the house. As we called her insurance, we found out that the policy has lapsed. The extent of the damage is staggering with the electrical panel melted as well as the washer and dryer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
