In losing Lynn in such an unexpected and immediate way, she is not only losing her partner in life, but also the sole income earner in their household. Due to two transplant surgeries he was also unable to get life insurance. Without Lynn she is at risk of losing her house, which they just built together. During her final moments with Lynn and through her grieving process, she should not have to worry about this as well. Lynn would not want her to have to deal with it either.
