Help Decator's Place Rescue Continue To Save Lives

Donation protected

These are just some of our Sanctuary Sweethearts that will remain at the rescue for the remainder of their lives.
Due to various issues they are unadoptable. But they will always have a home with us.

Update! We have passed the $2000 mark and are on our way and we can't thank you enough! These funds will allow us to build our medical fund from $0 to a small amount in case of emergencies, keep plenty of food in stock, currently we spend $700 per week, take everyone for their annual check ups, fence in a better play yard for those that have springs in their legs and can easily jump a 6 foot fence, put up a couple more kennels, bring in more Pea stone and some pavers to keep everyone dry as mud season is coming. We also need covers for a couple of our kennels and a couple more dog houses.
We truly can't wait for the day when the adoptable pups will have their very own building and kennels and dog houses will be a thing of the past. But one step at a time, we need to be at a point where we are not bugging all of you for money all the time. We truly hate to do that.
So please help us keep going! Share with everyone! Even small $5 donations add up if enough people do it. We can't continue without you. Thank you for all your support

UPDATE: We have had some great responses from some incredible people and we here at Decator's Place, humans and dogs alike, would like to thank you!

We have our inspection coming up and it's much harder now that we are facility based. We still need some kennels, fencing, gravel, pavers and a dog house to pass. Beyond that we have food, medications, vaccines, and yearly checkups for not just the adoptable dogs but also for our sanctuary pups as well. People tend to forget we have them and need to provide for them as well for the remainder of their lives.

Once we get through this then maybe, just maybe, our state paperwork will get fixed and we will be able to apply for grants to build and expand and start our plan to be self sufficient. But the time to apply for grants is early in the year so that window is rapidly closing.

Again, we'd like to thank those that have donated - we so appreciate it. If each and every one of our 4,042 followers donated just $10, we would not only be saved but able to start the next phase.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

We have approximately 30 acres of property on which we'd like to expand! With this help we could help other northern breeds, provide low cost boarding for rescues that have no room, and eventually train some of these dogs to become service animals for those that need them but cannot afford them. We have all this space and due to a government mix-up in paperwork, no way to fund it. We were accidentally classed by the state of Missouri as a private charity which basically means we cannot apply for grants or support from corporations. We have no idea how long this will take to be fixed as no one on the state level has any idea from one person to the next. Until then we are entirely self-funded and receive donations from faithful supporters. This is no longer feasible and we are afraid we will have to shut down unless we get the funds to continue until the paperwork is straightened out. Apparently, even if we refile everything, for another $600 of course, it can take months or years to complete. Please help us continue because with our current standing we can't even contact companies for assistance with dog food, the most basic necessity.

As we have said we have big plans for these dogs who have so much to offer. They are such a loyal, loving, incredibly smart and hard working breed. Help us start on those big plans as not many rescues have the acreage we have that can be developed to do so much more than just rescue these dogs. There are only so many pet homes out there and even less that can handle a large stubborn breed like the Alaskan Malamute. But if they are trained for jobs like service animals, Search and Rescue, etc., then they will have so many more opportunities. Is it fair for a military veteran to come home in need a service animal and be told that it will cost thousands of dollars? Or a needy child? These dogs are the perfect option to be trained for these jobs.

Help us to help them to help those in need! We sincerely appreciate it.
