FUNDRAISER FOR ANNETTE (NIDA) ALLEN:

We are Nida’s nephews, Richard and William Lindayen.

About 15 months ago, our aunt was diagnosed with cancer. Since her diagnosis, she has been in and out of the hospital several times. She has endured several surgeries and procedures, resulting in lengthy hospital stays and painful convalescence.

Cancer has taken a devastating toll on Nida, both physically and financially. No one ever expects to be in this position – and no one wants to be – but this has become the reality for our aunt, as it could for anyone.

 

Nida worked for as long as she could after her diagnosis. She has used all of her sick leave and vacation time, and due to this and the toll cancer has taken on her, has had to take an extended leave from her job of over 25 years. As her sole caretaker, her husband Eric, is also at home, as Nida requires help and care around the clock.

If you know Nida as an aunt, sister, sister-in-law, friend, co-worker, or avid Star Wars fan, you know that she is one of the kindest, sweetest people on earth, but also that she does not like asking anyone for help.

She and Eric are both very private, humble people – that’s why we are asking for her.

Anything you can contribute will be sent directly to our aunt Nida for medical bills, transportation, medicine, and any needs and costs that arise.
