Our Family's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
The Ajluni family is in a lot of ways, just an ordinaty family. They laugh, they cry, they love HARD, and they live every second of every day knowing they are LIVING while they deal with extraordinary circumstances.
December of 2011 was when their baby son, Oliver, was diagnosed with cancer at age 18 months. He fought so hard, and through medical expertise and lots of prayer, he went into remission in August of 2014.... then, in November of 2014, Shannan, Oliver's mother, was diagnosed with Stage 3B breast cancer. Surgeries and more medical expertise led her to remission in January of 2016.
March of 2016, when he was age 6 years, Oliver's cancer relapsed. His cancer is now considered to be terminal, he will never be off treatment. He must travel over 400 miles away from home for a week once a month for his stabilizing chemotherapy.
But, life wasnt done dealing this family a low blow. As of May of 2018, Shannan also relapsed. Her cancer has metastasized and she also is considered to be terminal, never again will she be off treatment. She also must travel for treatment, 175 miles from home, once per month. All while still being main caregiver for Oliver and his autistic older brother Joseph, and guiding his older siblings as they navigate young adulthood while her husband, David works two jobs.
This fund is to help the Ajluni family in any way possible. Medical bills, travel, medication/prescriptions, rent, utilities, groceries... LIFE.
Thank you so much for your donations, every penny (other than the 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation that GFM takes) goes to them to help them ease the stress of having two terminally ill people in the same household.
