Help Joey reach his goals

Hi, my name is Joey Beckman, I had an Arterial Venous Malformation (AVM) that ruptured on May 14th 2012, which left me totally blind. I gained a lot of weight, with my heaviest being 364.
I started running with the help of Running Wild trainer Dr Lynne Virant and an amazing group of ladies. With their help I was the first totally blind person to run the Disney World Dopey Challenge, which is a 5k, 10k, half marathon and then a full marathon.
With the help of Dr Gatmaitan in March 2018, I had the gastric sleeve surgery and in three months my weight was 186. Dr. Gatmaitan helped me with my decision to get healthy.
I was able to participate in my first triathlon in October 2019 with the help of Dom Risola from Tripossibilities. With Don’s help I finished my first Ironman 70.3 in Augusta, Ga.
I am asking for assistance to continue on my journey of competing in the Paralympic Games.
The cost of a racing tandem bike (which I need because I am blind) is astronomical, around 17,000. I receive a small Social Security check and would appreciate any help.
I have never never asked for help before. My running, weight loss, and triathlons he’s given me a new meaning to life. So in my own words:
“Here’s to the future and hopefully being a beacon of light for those lost in the dark. That no matter how dark it gets, we are never out of the fight. We must always keep moving forward.”
Please help me reach my goal.
