Please help me bring my husband home

Hello. My name is Cheryl and I need help to bring my husband home.
On May 2nd of 2023, Igor came home from grocery shopping and as he was putting the key in the door, he was assaulted by a stranger. He heard something behind him and turned around into a man's fist, who then slammed Igor's head against the steel door. I found him immediately - the crash was loud. I got him inside, stemmed the bleeding from the punch and called the police. It soon became obvious something was very wrong. He was growing increasingly confused and the police called an ambulance. Within an hour I learned a CT scan showed a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain - a severe traumatic brain injury. It has left Igor unable to speak (aphasia), become easily agitated, and subject to seizures.
It has been more than 10 months. Too much has happened. The assault was the first of 2 incidents. Igor found that walking gave him some relief from the agitation. Twice he got out from where he was safe - once from the hospital's locked unit and once from home a few weeks after he had been discharged in November. The second time he was missing for 3 hours. He was found when a driver went through a crosswalk and hit Igor. He sustained a severe tibial fracture that required surgery to stabilize it with pins and screws. After 3 months in bed 24/7, he was transferred to a rehab facility where he is making real progress in physiotherapy. Regaining his strength will take months and there is no guarantee he'll walk again. But they don't know Igor. I was told he would never speak again. He began, slowly, to speak after the assault. He is beginning again.
All our savings has been spent over the past months, paying the bills. I have gathered the costs for what is needed to bring Igor home. We have to move; we currently live in a 2 level apartment and Igor needs to be in a home that is wheelchair accessible (one level, no carpet). I cannot physically manage the packing required for this, and a mover has to be hired. This will cost an estimated $6,400.00. Equipment costs will be approximately $5,500.00 (wheelchair, equipment for transfer from bed to wheelchair, equipment for transfer to bathroom and car, rail for bed). Physiotherapy can continue at home.
Igor deserved none of what has happened to him. I am stunned by his courage and feel blessed to call him my husband. He needs to come home; the alternative is for him to spend the rest of his life in a facility - the rehab program finishes on April 2nd. I am working to bring all the pieces together. If you are able to help financially, thank you is not enough.
