Support Diversity Initiatives of the ASIH

The ASIH (American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists) is fundraising to support diversity initiatives as directed by the Committee on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB). This fundraising comes in the form of a competition between ASIH President (Emily Taylor) and ASIH President-Elect (Prosanta Chakrabarty). Both will try to outwalk each other in distance from January 1 until July 12, 2023 (the first day of JMIH 2023). You can follow along here:
Donate on this site pledge for Emily or Prosanta, and to support this important initiative!
To pledge for 'team Herps' (Emily), simply click donate and then select Emily from the Team member pull-down menu.
To pledge for 'team Fish (Prosanta), simply click the donate button and then select Prosanta from the Team member pull-down menu.
100% of the donations will fund Diversity Initiatives of the ASIH to support Black and African Americans, Latinx, Native Americans/Pacific Islanders and other disadvantaged/minoritized students to participate fully in ichthyological and herpetological science and at our annual meetings. The initiatives will support the Robert C. Cashner Diversity Award Program (information here ).
