LHTP Urban educational programs
Tax deductible
The Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program is now celebrating our 31st year of serving urban children and teens in educational based afterschool programs such as tutoring, homework assistance, and youth clubs that assist with leadership development and college preparation. We currently serve 1,100 children and teens in our various programs, in Lincoln Heights, El Sereno, Boyle Heights, and Chinatown, Los Angeles.
This campaign is to continue to develop our wellness and nutrition program that is in addition to the homework and tutorial assistance that we provide to children. This new addition provides healthy snacks of fruits and vegatables, nutrition education, and activities that promote excercise and fitness. Nutrition and exercise are currently one of the greater needs in inner city neighborhoods, in addition to educational enhancement.
These funds allow us to staff and supply these newer programs for both our spring and our full "Summer Day Program," as well as keep our children and youth programs going forward.
Thank you for your support in helping us to further develop the quality of our programs for the communities we serve.
