The Hughes Family

Hello, my name is Ashley I am currently a lieutenant at the Edgewater Park Volunteer Fire Department. Monday, March 27th at approximately 2 am we received a call for a house fire that happen to be at the house of an ex-lieutenant of the department. I am raising funds because not only was William Hughes (Billy) an ex-lieutenant of this department, he was also one of the members who responded during the times of 9/11, Billy is also a heart transplant recipient who has been shriving every step of the way, this family has one of the biggest hearts I know in this small little community here in Edgewater Park, and when there's and neighbor in need we are neighbors helping neighbors. I also grew up across the street from the Hughes family most of my life, so they are literally like my family, Monday night was a little difficult for me to receive this call but I kept all my personal feeling aside and did what was needed to do to save the house as best as we can. The Hughes family had completed renovations on their home just hours before the fire took place one of those being their kitchen which took the majority of the damage along with the second-floor bedroom and patio. My friend Wills's parents are both retired and are going to need these funds for all the unforeseen circumstances that are going to arise with now being displaced from their home. So, please if anyone can help out by sharing this along and donating anything you can, it will be greatly appreciated not only by me but also by our community and even the family it would mean the world to them.
