I love my daughter, and I want her well!

Hi, I first would like to say that I would never ask for help in any way if I didn’t truly need it. My daughter, Shana, has asked me not to do this because she never wants to put anyone out or make anyone worry. But, I have made the decision to do this because she is in need of medical care that we just can’t afford right now.
Shana has not been doing well health wise for a couple years but this year has been her worst. Shana was misdiagnosed at the beginning of the year, hospitalized and had to wait 6 months in misery to only find out that she went through it all because her doctor never weened her off of a medicine and she was going through withdraw. Since then, she has been diagnosed with two serious skin diseases that have been causing other issues and is in extreme pain daily. Her Fibromyalgia is flaring, her nerve fibers are over firing and she has tunnels of cysts underneath her skin that tunnel and cause infection. She has been on antibiotics for 6 months causing other side effects. She has been very depressed and her anxiety has been very high not knowing what is happening to her body or what’s going to happen next.
On October 5th, her right breast implant ruptured while she was doing dishes and now she is in need of having them removed. Then, the left one ruptured a week later. The insurance will pay for the removal but because Shana has now suffered nerve damage, the surgery is going to have to be more invasive. They are going to have to remove muscle and fat and it will cause more nerve damage but regardless she needs them out. The insurance will only pay for the removal but they will not pay for the other two procedures that she medically needs because they want to say that it is cosmetic, and it’s not. It is medically necessary. Because of Shana’s skin diseases and fibromyalgia they need to lift her breasts off her muscles because it is affecting her collar bones and shoulders. If you read up on Breast Implant Illness, Shana has all of the symptoms. We are looking at this as a blessing in disguise because we believe her body has been rejecting them for quite some time. The money for the operation has to be paid in full before they will even operate.
She found out this week that she also has large cysts and fluid in her fallopian tubes that may need to be surgically removed. Then yesterday we were called into her doctor’s office that he got a report that she has pressure on her brain and we are unsure what it causing it. She is going to have to have another procedure for this but we still do not know why she has pressure on her brain. She has been having pain radiating from her shoulders, into her upper back, neck, head, face, down her arms and legs and her hands have been swelling. She also has been getting sores in her mouth. A couple of elite doctors have recommended that after we get these things taken care of, Shana needs to be admitted into the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota so that a team of specialized doctors can run all the testing she needs and all work together to figure out the root cause of all of this. This will require gas, food and a hotel for approximately two weeks or more and obviously more medical bills.
We haven’t said much to anyone, because again, we don’t truly know the cause yet and Shana doesn’t like to make anyone worry and she has a hard time asking for help. But today, I need to do what is best for my daughter so that we can get her better. We have God on our side and we know that he can heal her. We are both on disability and with the way prices have gone up we just can’t afford any of it right now. I would never ask for help if we didn’t truly need it.
If you have the means and are willing and able to donate, please consider doing so. If you aren’t, please don’t feel bad about it…. we just ask that you please keep Shana and I in your prayers with our journey ahead. She is trying to be as positive as she can and she knows that God has a plan for her. We don’t know what that is yet but we only pray that it includes healing. Thank you all for anything you can do and especially the prayers. If we have you on Facebook it’s because you have touched our lives in some way or another and are so happy to have you all in our lives. I am a mother who loves her daughter and I will do anything to get my Shana back into a happy and healthy state. May you all be blessed. I love you all and thank you.
