Help Luke fight Leukemia

Two year old Luke was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in mid August 2019. Only two weeks after his sudden diagnosis he has already undergone several surgeries, blood transfusions, platelet transfusions and chemotherapy. He requires extended hospital stays with various medications, medical equipment, parking, and countless other costs that are not covered by Alberta Health or extended health care providers.

Luke’s treatment plan is long term (three years or more) and invasive. It will involve unexpected lengthy hospital stays, which means Mom is not home to help with the other children and their needs. Dad will be taking time off work. We are hoping to relieve some of the financial burden. 

Luke is a joy-filled young boy who loves to play hockey with his three older brothers, 10, 7, and 5.  While Luke is a tough 'little man,' he often wants to give Mom and Dad snuggles when he's not feeling well and watch an episode of the Wiggles. 

Any extra money that Luke’s family does not use will be donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Oncology Unit to help other children facing similar circumstances as Luke.

Seeing how necessary blood transfusions are and how scarce blood products are available, we encourage those wishing to donate, to contact their local blood donor clinic.
