Help support the Ross family

Hi everyone my name is Jennifer and I’m making this go fund me for my mom Kimberly Ross. She’s been a devoted nurse for over 20 years always putting her residents first. She had a fall in 2020 and broke her knee having to go back and forth to physical therapy being out of work for almost a year, after only being back at work for a few short months she’s been put out of work again due to a bad infection in her eye.

On Christmas Night (12-25-2021) my mother was taken to community hospital where she spent over 10 hours being seen and being told she has a bad infection in her eye, by the time she left the hospital she was unable to see anything out of her left eye. She was seen by doctor Patel in freehold, NJ who told her to immediately get in the car and go to Wills eye specialist in Philadelphia. During her visit they told her she has an ulcer in her left cornea, it’s to the point she is completely blind in her left eye at this time. She is required to travel back and forth to Philadelphia every other day to check her eye and it’s progress which hasn’t been much if any at all. After countless hours in the emergency rooms, back and forth to multiple doctors she still has this infection and the doctors are mentioning needing surgery if it doesn’t get better, even if the infection heals they are suggesting having surgery because she still won’t be able to see out of it due to the scarring . She’s been out of work for weeks now, with no income they are relying solely on my dads and with every trip up to Philadelphia it costs them at least $100 if not more between gas, tolls, co-pays, etc.

She is trying to go through disability but we all know that takes so much time.

My mom has always done what she can to help her family and now I’m making this in hopes to help her and ease some of the stress between bills and the expenses of traveling.
