Hi, I'm Alisa and I'm fundraising to help Tanya and her daughter Arina, Ukrainian refugees who have just arrived here in the United States. After a hellish 6 months of uncertainty, fear of the future and of course loss of everything they have ever worked for and owned, Tanya and Arina have finally made it safely to America. Tanya is an extremely hard worker, a single mom and a wonderful and kind person. She was telling me how extremely hard it is to go from working her whole life and saving up enough money to finally buy a home back in Ukraine, to, in a blink of an eye, be completely poor and homeless. It feels like a jab to your morale, to your integrity as a human, and of course, as a mother, when you're trying to provide and keep your child safe, and there's only so much you can do when everything has been taken away from you. After two weeks of living with a family member in Natick, MA, Arina has started school and enjoying being around kids her own age and learning a new language. And Tanya is currently looking for a live-in housekeeper/nanny position in the Natick area.

I am raising this money to help Tanya and Arina start their brand new life here. The money will be used to pay for food, clothing, school needs, and eventually a car for Tanya to not be beholden to anyone for transportation.
