Flight To End Polio

All the way around the world in a single engine aircraft to raise funds for polio eradication! Only 270 people living today have accomplished this risky feat!

While polio has been eradicated in the US, it still exists! No child anywhere is safe until every child has been vaccinated.

Pilots Peter Teahen and John Ockenfels are raising awareness for polio eradication with this flight, taking off from Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 5, 2023 in a Cessna T210M (single engine) airplane. Along the way, they will encourage support of ending polio forever throughout the world.
