Chris and Jen's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Tammy Shepherd and I am kickstarting this campaign for Chris Pemberton and his wife, Jen, and children, Leah and Gabe.
Chris and Jen lost everything to Hurricane Harvey. Chris currently lives in Greenwood due to his job, and commutes home. However, he was unable to access his family and they were rescued from their home in Friendswood, TX on August 28th, via Red Cross and Fire Department air swampboat.
Thankfully, they are all safe, however have suffered an incomprehensible loss. While material possessions pale in value to family; a home is the hub and stability of a family.
Friendswood TX, is near NASA and situated between Galveston and Houston. They have hold the US record, excluding Hawaii, for the most rain from a tropical storm, 49.5 inches!
Jen and the children are staying with friends and are safe, however, they will have a long and difficult road to recovering their losses. It is my hope this fundraiser will assist them in this process
I met Chris many years ago while taking piano lessons from his mother, Val Pemberton, who has sadly since passed. Chris' parents, Val and Ora were a valuable asset to the city of Columbus, IN and taught music to countless students.
Chris is a wonderful reprenstation of their kindness and compassion. He has a beautiful family and is most deserving of this fundraiser.
All funds will be given to Chris and Jen to use as they see fit.
Please open your hearts and give to this wonderful couple and their children.
