Keith Saunders Medical Expenses
Donation protected
June 26th 4:15 p.m., this was the day of the accident. Keith was busy at the farm fixing a tractor, they were having problems getting it to run right. He had been on and off the seat several times trying to get it to fire and then back under it working again. He did a few more repairs and tried starting the tractor from the ground, he didn’t realize it was in gear!! As soon as he tried starting it,it fired right up and took off, it happened so quickly he didn’t have time to react and it drove right over top of him! 911 was called. And soon people had surrounded him and an ambulance came to rush him to the St. James hospital, from there they took him by helicopter to Mankato Mayo Clinic hospital. He was awake and aware of what was happening, but in pain. At the hospital they found that the left side of his body was where most of the injuries were, this included his ribs, pelvis, hip and above his ankle we all broken. He underwent two surgeries, one to repair his hip and another to remove his gall bladder, a blockage in his colon and a portion of his intestine. He finally came home August 4th, but still a long way to go and a lot of physical therapy remaining. Your funds will go towards medical expenses that have already happened and those to come in the next months of care. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers he needs these as well!
