Team Emma June

Emma June went to the orthopedic doctor on 2/19/2020 for what she and her family thought was a sprained knee due to Color Guard.  Her life was turned upside down that day as she was just diagnosed with Osteosarcoma.  It was a whirl wind of tests, scans, biopsies, port installation, etc.  Emma June's chemotherapy started just three days later.   She completed 10 weeks of chemo and multiple surgeries to remove the tumor. 

In February 2021, during a scan for her ankle (unrelated) a spot in her knee was found and it was determined that Emma June would need to have her right leg amputated above the knee to ensure that all cancer cells are removed.

For the past two years, Emma June has had clean scans with no evidence of disease. However, on 2/20/23, three years past her initial diagnosis of osteosarcoma, during routine scans, a tumor on her residual limb and a nodule on her lung were found. 

This is devastating news to Emma June and her friends and family. She is going into uncharted territory starting with a bone scan and biopsies of the residual limb tumor and lung nodule. Once those are completed, treatment options will begin again. 

Jamie, Jonathan, Emma June, Burke, and Sam are all so strong and taking each day as it comes. As the Kents start looking at medical bills and long term effects of treatments we want to provide an avenue where everyone can support this wonderful family. There is no donation that is too small.  Please consider helping Emma June and her family as they continue this journey to beat cancer.
