Hey there! I am Leeland :) I was recently diagnosed with Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES). The seizures are mostly caused by things psychologically, such as anxiety, etc. Before I have a seizure, I have about a 20 second time warning before I am fully into it. However, sometimes that just isn't enough time to take all precautions prior to a seizure. So, I am set to get a puppy bernadoodle here in the next week and have been blessed with a partial scholarship covering the dog! Once I have the puppy, I will be training alongside it as it learns to detect anxiety, and alert me when a seizure might happen. This will give me enough time to take all the precautions needed, and maybe even prevent a seizure from happening! However, training with the puppy is an added expense we don’t have the money for. I would like to ask my friends and community for a donation to help pay for the cost of the service dog training, which is expected to take about 2 years!
