The Payne Family

My name is Marsha Malone. I have known Lewellyn (Sawyer) Payne my entire life. We attended grade school through high school together and have remained friends all this time. She married her high school sweet heart,Anthony Payne right out of high school.

The Payne family is struggling and needs help with their father's care and everyday expenses. Anthony has been sick for about a year, he has stage 4 kidney disease, diabetes, heart failure, left bundle blockage, and asthma. In September 2022 he had 3 surgeries, a huge stone removed from his liver duct, his gall bladder removed along with colon resection surgery due to a colon cancer diagnosis. He has been in and out of the hospital over five times throughout this year. Thursday, August 17th, he was diagnosed with pancreatic insufficiency.

As you can imagine, sickness has taken a toll on the family. His wife and younger son were involved in an auto accident and are unable to physically help with the transfer to and from the bathroom and to his bed. Their older son is physically helping him do everything. The cost of taking him to and from appointments and long hospital stays has taken a toll both physically, mentally, and financially on their family.
