A family in Syria

This fundraiser is for a Syrian family who lost their home and everything they had during the recent earthquakes. Mohammed, his wife, and their three young children are in need of funds to purchase food and blankets to stay warm, and to repair their home that was damaged in the earthquakes.

Mohammed connected with The Changemaker Project last summer because he wanted to bring our program to Syria. Prior to the earthquakes, he was a high school teacher, Director of Raise the Voices, and a Team leader for Syrians Without Borders. He is now looking for work that can be done remotely to earn income to help his family. He is able to do Arabic translation, video editing, design and Photoshop—if you know of any opportunities for this please let us know.

In Mohammed's words: "There is no food, no safe, no home, no water, destroyed buildings everywhere, no words enough to describe it. We are afraid, freezing, starving, we are losing everything."
