Dear Friends, Family and Extended Community
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Mr. Nguyen, on June 4th 2021. Mr. Nguyen was brought to hospital after experiencing an ongoing shortness of breath and sudden weakness. After two full days of assessments, Mr. Nguyen was unfortunately diagnosed with stage-4 liver cancer.
Mr. Nguyen was told that with a liver transplant, he could have another six years to live. However, his cancer became too aggressive overnight. Six years quickly turned into six months . In a mere ten days, Mr. Nguyen peacefully took his last breath with his loving wife and daughter by his side.
Mr. Nguyen was a hardworking man, dedicated father, caring husband, incredible musician, and someone who would go above and beyond for others. He made sure his family knew how much he loved and supported them each and every day. His words and his actions always carried that message. He was incredibly loved and respected for his continued contributions to the Vietnamese community in Vancouver. Through his passion for music and love for his country, he was able to create so many moments of fun, light, and joy.
We are deeply devastated by his unexpected passing. As Mr.Nguyen was the main household provider and handled the majority of the finances, we have created this fund to help his wife and daughter with financial support during this difficult time.
The funds will be used to cover any fees associated with the funeral and any additional expenses. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
Out of respect for his family, we politely ask that friends and donors do not reach out to the Nguyen family regarding this fundraiser. However, if you would love to offer your condolences, you are welcome to reach out to their family directly. If you have any further questions, please speak directly to Rae or Vi. Our contact information will be provided below.
