Help Teasel breathe! (And poop)

In the summer of 2021 I was walking my dog and came across a tiny kitten. It took less than a moment to decide I needed to look after this little guy, and he’s been with us ever since.

That little kitten has grown into a big cat named Teasel, but this spring he was diagnosed with asthma. For months he seemed fine, but over the summer his breathing got worse and worse. Culminating in one emergency trip to the vet to put him on oxygen. Then two weeks ago on a Sunday he tumbled down the stairs drooling and panting. The only option was a veterinary hospital where he was diagnosed with a partially collapsed lung and life threatening constipation.

fortunately they were able to help him and since then he’s been on a new medication regimen that has him back to his old self.

Unfortunately, these emergency trips and the various medications he’s required have been a serious drain on our budget. Freelance illustration is never the most secure livelihood, and this has stretched us to our limit.

Whatever you can do will make all of us and Teasel especially breathe easy.
