Restore Dadito's Hearing

Donation protected

In May of 2009, a doctor had surgically removed a tumor of some kind from my dad's head. To get to it, they had to break and remove a few bones from his ear... this procedure caused my father to lose his hearing permanently. Since then he has had two heart surgeries as well, and now also suffers from depression. It wasn't until a couple months ago that a different doctor ran some tests and found that he can save one of my dad's ears. During the tests that day, my dad was able to hear a voice/sound for the first time in six years, it was so over whelming that he cried. Sadly, it only lasted that moment. The doctor said that it will cost dad the minimum of $2400 for the piece of technology that will let him hear again and that his insurance will not cover it.

We need your help. We can't raise this money alone.

Since the surgery, I had a son who is now 5 years old; my sister has had 2 girls who are also very young. He has yet to hear their voices and its killing him inside.

My dad told me once that even when people go over to visit, he still feels alone because they don't know how to communicate with him. As daddy's little girl, that broke my heart.

Before he lost his hearing, my dad was a hardworking man. He was a mechanic and an electrician. For fun he worked on cars and played guitar, two hobbies he was and still is very passionate about. However, because of his heart he had to give up mechanical and electrical work, and because of his ears he had to give up music.

His hearing is the one thing I know will get him out of this depression that he's been stuck in. $5 comes a long way. If you can help, thank you, if you can't, we understand completely and we thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. Please share this with as many people as you can. If you have any questions you are welcome to ask and we (the family) will do our best to answer.

To everyone it concerns:
I tried to personally thank everyone through phone calls, email and social media but there are a few of you I could not find information on so this is the best I can do and I hope you don't mind.
I want to say thank you to all that have donated so far and to those that have shared my father's story on their page. Every dollar, every post, has made a difference. It means the world to me and my family that you guys have all taken time out of your days to be part of this. My parents have been going through so much for the past decade due to my father's heart and his hearing that it has lead them both to fall into depression. I know if he can hear again it can change everything, not just for him but for the family. You guys are making it possible for that day to come. I wish there was a way I could show you all how grateful we are. It's amazing watching this in motion. Thank you all again.
As for the update on my father, he is currently recovering from a heart surgery he had on June 30th; everything went perfectly. Next week he has an appointment with his Otolaryngologist to run a few more tests on his ear. Whatever donations are made by then I will send straight to the his doctor's office so they can get started on process to recover his hearing. Be aware that the ear piece is a custom technology so it might take a while before he receives it but I will post the receipt on here as soon as I get it, and I'll post a video of my dad with the new ear piece as soon as he gets it so you guys can see the amazing thing you all made possible.
Again, I am internally grateful and from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

He love's his family and we love him more than he knows.
