Wheelchair accessible van

Donation protected
Madison was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a genetic disorder that starts in the central nervous system and affects all the muscles in the body. SMA is a rare disease that affects 1 in 6,000 to 10,000 people in the US. It is estimated that there are about 25,000 people who currently suffer from SMA in the US. The effects of SMA can differ from each person. In Madison's case, she is unable to walk and relies on a wheelchair to get around.

Until recently we were able to transport her to school and other places in a wheelchair accessible van. But unfortunately the van has seen better days and due to various ongoing mechanical issues over the years, it is beyond repair. Unlike other kids her age, Madison doesn't have the option to bum rides from friends or ride a bike to get to school. We are hoping to raise funds to help buy a replacement van as well as to cover the costs to have additional modifications made so that she is able to drive it herself using only hand controls. Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated!
