I would call him a cat, but Louie is much more than that. He's got a personality that I have never seen in an animal before, the appetite of a gluttonous pig, and the loyalty and companionship of one of those dogs you read about in books. Unfortunately, recently he got attacked by a pit bull and suffered numerous injuries. He now has a completely broken jaw that needs to be plated, screwed, and wired shut. His abdomen has multiple puncture wounds, bleeding under the skin, needs his organs x rayed, he limps on his back leg and his shoulder is dislocated. My poor baby.. I love him more than anything in the world. My regular vet isn't capable of doing the surgery on his jaw, so he recommended me to a specialist. The cheapest one that is physically capable of doing this kind of surgery. They thought it was going to be around $1,000 but after the specialist saw the x rays he realized it would take a lot more than expected. The final estimate of that surgery would be around $3,000 or more. Among the other vet bills that already added up to $1,300. I really cannot afford to pay this by myself, and my only other option is to put him down. He is only 3 years old, and like I said, he is far more than just a "cat" to me. He's my best friend, my son, and one of the only things I genuinely love in the world. I don't know what I am going to do if he has to be put down. I really don't think I'm strong enough to handle that. I'm just hoping that anyone who sees this could share it, and if possible donate.
