Help Dimitri to Junior Olympics!

2015 has been  a year of change around here- Dimitri decided to run  "unattached" instead of under a team.  It has been a challenge for sure, but so many have believed in him and have been willing to help him along the way.  They say it take a village, and this year reminded us of just how awesome our village is! He has had the willpower to push himself to train, compete and improve constantly.  Few adults have the dedication and work ethic that this boy possesses at 14! He has worked extremely hard this year in all of his events, but has excelled in the event that he has a passion for- the hurdles. After placing 1st in both hurdle events, as well placing in the top 8 in Nevada in the 100m and 400m at the USATF Nevada Association meet, Dimitri advanced to the USATF West Coast Regional meet June 26-28, 2015 in Cerritos, CA. He went on to place 1st in both the 100m hurdle and 200m hurdle events yet again,  making him the top qualifier out of Region 15 that now moves on to compete in both of these hurdle events at the USA Track & Field Junior Olympics, which will be held at the University of North Florida (Hodges Stadium) on July 27-August 2, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL.  We have just under 30 days to raise the funds to cover his expenses of flights, daily transportation to/from university, and a  week's worth of lodging and food so he can compete against  the best athletes from across the nation!
