The Gift of Sight

Hi! My name is Tia. I am setting up this fundraiser for my very best friend Justine. Some of you may have heard me even call her my “wife”. As like many of you already know, our bond is pretty strong. Justine builds incredible relationship wherever she goes. She never meets a stranger and if you’re on her bad side, you really ought to soul search as to why because she is incredibly forgiving and gives multiple chances. Justine has an amazing sense of style. She always looks great, dresses well, and has the best hairstyles. This leads me to the reason I’ve set up this account. She wears her hair in a part in front of her face that covers one of her eyes. When she was younger, she suffered an injury that changed her life forever. Because of this injury and complications, she lost the ability to use her right eye. She has continued to live her life as if nothing ever happened. Most recently, she’s been struggling to see out of her left eye more clearly (her good eye). She had a recent visit with a Specialist and by the grace of God and technology, she will be undergoing a reconstructive surgery on her closed eye to help repair the damage. The Specialist also recommended contacts that will assist her sight. She will be able to see more clearly than she ever has since before the incident. Her insurance will help some with the cost of the surgery but they will NOT assist the life-changing contacts. One of the things that Justine and I have always spoken about was watching our children grow up, graduate from school, get married, etc. We’ve often spoke about the possibility of her not being able to actually see these things come to fruition. With these contacts, this fear will inevitably subside. Folks, I beseech you today to please donate anything you are able. My best friend is a best friend to so many. She is an Angel roaming this Earth. I don’t know where I’d be in life without her. Please, help me give her the gift of sight. Thank you.
