I'm stranded in the Philippines, and I need help getting home.
In 2016, I came to the Philippines to marry my wonderful wife April. Due to underestimating the cost of the wedding (in Filipino culture, the groom pays for the wedding), and not realizing that I would have to pay a fine at the airport because I didn't have an exit visa (I didn't know I needed one), I was stranded here. I have tried to work online or under the table in order to make enough to return, but I have been unable to make enough. I have asked my immediate family for help, but they have refused.
The money raised will go for a plane ticket to Manila, a plane ticket to Atlanta, a bus ticket from Atlanta to Brewton, exit visa fees, regular visa charges that I am behind on, and if any is left over, money for getting back on my feet. As things stand now, my intention is to return to my home town of Brewton, AL.
I am a proud person. I don't like asking for help. But if you can find it in your heart to give a little bit, I, my wife, and my children would be forever grateful.
