I’m Sunny Phillips, a 60 year young, single woman living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. My life changed drastically six years ago when I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer.  Considering myself a happy-go-lucky, fun-loving, playful woman, I didn’t know exactly what that meant, perhaps because I have always believed that I have an inner knowledge that would see me through this, healthy and whole.

My entire adult life I have walked the path of Holistic Health. Diet and nutrition, biochemical balance, exercise and happiness are all huge in my lifestyle.  Medicinal herbs, super foods and supplements have also played a considerable role in that lifestyle.



Why I Seek This Funding

 Having first sought the aid of an Oncologist and following the in-depth protocol, I experienced the usual sickness and weakness for several weeks. (Naturopathic home care protocols helped ameliorate these symptoms.)  While there was some evidence of wounds healing and “things” shrinking, sadly, after nine months, the treatments lost their efficacy. During this time of treatment, I had liver failure and was hospitalized for 10 days, followed 6 months later with paracentesis requiring a twice weekly treatment to remove fluid waste from the abdominal cavity.  With the aid of naturopathic remedies, my liver healed.

Naturopathy has been my chosen method for years in healing various health issues, some mentioned above. Thus, I turn to what I knew works for me.

Naturopathic practitioners outside of western medicine are not covered by insurance. Costs range from $175-$400 per visit, plus medications, treatments, supplements, etc. Even with the generous, gracious support of friends, the cost has been a great burden for me. So, I’m turning to the Go-Fund-Me project for financial assistance.  I will begin my treatments with Dr McKinney, Naturopath specializing in Oncology, and Shelley Esler, Medical Medium.  Eventually I will include acupuncture. I intend to keep my eyes and ears open to other specialist, yet discovered.



I’ve been able to work, for the most part, for the past two years allowing me to pay my bills. Meanwhile the cancer is growing, one in my brain now causing double vision and in some of my bones and lymph nodes.

When headaches from the brain tumor became unbearable, I elected to have radiation, which worked in eradicating the brain tumor. However other tumors are so debilitating that I have decided to try chemo also.  During this period, my Naturopath suggested various supplements to keep my body somewhat comfortable.  This chemo  treatment lasted about 10 months before losing its efficacy.

Being off chemo now for 5 months, the tumors have grown back, creating enough pain to keep me on pain meds daily.  I have elected to try another chemo that was offered.  I am now down from my normal weight of 115 to 83 pounds.

This has been an epic journey and I trust this journey will complete its cycle and move out of my body, very soon?  I remain ever grateful to all who aided me along the way and to those who may participate in this funding.  I will report often with what has transpired.  Thank you for your reading this and your consideration.
