December 2023: we edited this gofundme to focus on future goals without forgetting where we are came from.

Any accomplishment comes with many setbacks, big and small, but the journey is going through them, around them, and/ or use them to reach where you are going. Be it in school, in work, in art, or in sports, it’s not about how hard you fell. It’s about getting up and continuing. Or as Yahro likes to quote David Goggins: Stay Hard!

Yahro qualified for the Netherlands Championships (NK) in butterfly and freestyle events!

He is competing there in December 2023 and June 2024.

We ask you to send him support of well-wishes in your own quiet time, as this is one of the most powerful things energy-wise and transcends everything tangible.

After that, and if your own situation permits you, please help us reach the financial goals of his journey in the water.

Yahro, who is a Junior in Highschool, is now competing at several competitions in different states around the North-Eastern US and swimming his first international competitions across the ocean.

Obviously, he is not swimming across the ocean, he flies there. We are hoping you can help him by either donating money for his flights or sharing the message to others who are able to support athletes reach even bigger goals and explore how far they can take themselves to reach excellence.

Besides the flights to The Netherlands, money raised will cover the additional costs of out-of-state meets & travel, flights to US swim meets, and possibly even a training camp or mentoring program that, so far, Yahro has not had access to. As his family, we are working together at all levels so that Yahro can keep focusing on doing well both in Highschool and in Swimming.
