We are making significant strides in the legislative process to enact Yahshua's Law SB 1248 in California.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has helped to champion this cause, contributed to the pursuit of justice for the family, and advocated for the necessity of comprehensive protective measures to safeguard children from extreme weather events during physical activities in California schools.

While we are on the path to victory, the journey is not over yet. To ensure the successful codification of this law, we require your continued support.

The bill is now advancing to the Assembly Education Committee, where Co-Author Assemblymember Akilah Weber will be introducing it. At this crucial juncture, we need your updated letters of support more than ever.

We urge you to submit your letters through the portal (https://calegislation.lc.ca.gov/Advocates/) no later than June 18th at 5pm.

We are also asking that you send a copy of your support letter to Senator Hurtado's office by emailing it to Juan Carlos Martir, Legislative Aide at  [email redacted].gov (mailto:[email redacted].gov)

Your voice matters and can make a significant difference in turning this bill into law (see sample letter template attached to this email).

Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to this cause.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions and/or would like to be present for the next hearing.

 Best Regards,
 Christina c/o the Robinson Family

For 12-year-old Yahushua Robinson, August 29, 2023, started as a typical, fun-filled school day. But while taking part in his PE activities at school, Yahushua collapsed and became unresponsive, a tragedy we believe was brought about by the sweltering heat. Despite the response and care of medical professionals, Yahushua tragically succumbed to cardiac arrest at the hospital.

The void Yahushua leaves behind is profound. Janee & Eric Robinson and their three other children are trying to come to terms with this devastating reality. The agony of losing a child is indescribable, and as we wait with heavy hearts for the autopsy results, we are reminded of the unpredictability of life.

It is during times like these that we as a community can come together to support one another. We humbly ask for your assistance to help alleviate the financial strain this sudden tragedy has placed upon Yahshua's family.

Whether large or small, every contribution will serve as a testament to Yahshua's cherished memory and the impact he made in his short time with us. From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for standing alongside the Robinson family, for being their beacon of hope, and for showing that love and compassion remain resilient even in the face of overwhelming sorrow.
