I'm Maher Hamad from Canada, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my nephew Yahya Hamad and his family. Our home, located in Al-Zawaida area of Palestine, was tragically destroyed by direct missile strikes on February 18th, 2024.

Let me share with you the heartbreaking story of Yahya Taher Hamad, the youngest child in our family. On that fateful morning, as Israel warplanes targeted our home with two direct missiles, Yahya miraculously survived. However, he lost 32 beloved family members, including his grandparents, parents, sister, and brothers. Pulled from the rubble with critical injuries, Yahya now faces the daunting challenge of rebuilding his life.

Currently, Yahya and his orphaned cousins: Mohammed and Ibrahim Hamad are living in difficult conditions in a Gaza hospital, where the healthcare system is strained and resources are limited. Despite his injuries and the immense loss he has suffered, Yahya's spirit remains unbroken. But he needs our help to overcome this adversity and move forward with hope.
