The Yakin Water Tower Project

Since 10th grade we have been working on a project which goal is to build a water tower in an agricultural village in Burkina called Yakin. In this village, the main economic activity is large-scale gardening. But they can only farm for 3-4 months during the rainy season. Even with this much water, they are able to provide a considerable amount of the vegetables that people consume in the city. If Yakin could have a permanent source of water, they will boost the economy of the entire region.
The Yakin water project aims to implement a 10-meter cube water tower to improve the income of people in Yakin and indirectly solve the sanity issues, education, health, migrations and the main poverty-related problems they face every day.
