Yaroslav and family

Around 2001 we took a beautiful young boy from Ukraine called Yaro through an amazing Irish organisation. A group of kids who were affected by the Chernobyl disaster were kindly welcomed by Irish families . We gave him a home for one month each year for a few years .He was part of a large family but fitted in with our family and friends so easily . We loved him.

Through the years we lost touch but never ever forgot him. We looked for him and his family through the years on social media but never found him until this week !

Through the power of instagram we eventually found his wifes account .

We found out he was looking for us too,many years ago but gave up .

He is now a handsome young man,husband and father to 3 beautiful kids.

As you can imagine like so many Ukrainians he is trying to leave the country and is so scared for his family.

He is in an unfortunate position where his funds are low.He wants to try help his extended family also.

He is hoping to work in Poland and stay there until things get better in Ukraine.He is forced to leave Ukraine and doesn’t want to go but has no choice. As nobody knows what’s going to happen he may have to come to Ireland. We are asking for your help,to kindly donate anything you can afford no matter how small. Here are some photos of his visit to Ireland and recent photos of his beautiful family now. We have permission from Yaro to post these.

He is overwhelmed by the love and support from his “Irish family” and he and his family finally have hope. They have survived the Chernobyl disaster now they are facing a war!

His message to us was “you are like a balm for our souls,we have already forgotten that we have a war,we love you”

All money goes directly to his family and surrounding family and anyone he knows that needs the help.
