Ya-Seen General’s Foundation
Donation protected
On November 14, 2022, our son, Ya-Seen “General” Thomas Johnson, was killed due to gun violence. He was taken from us senselessly while trying to buy shoes online. Something many of us have done in the digital age. No child deserves this.
To honor General’s memory, we are establishing a non profit organization to create a safe place for young people to exchange products in person and help fight this monster called gun violence. We appreciate whatever support you can give.
We called him General because he was named after his grandfather who was a General in the armed forces. General was always respectful and willing to help his parents with chores or whatever they asked of him. He loved working at Jimmy Johns, playing video games, watching anime, listening to/ making music, and dancing. Although he enjoyed his alone time, he made a significant impact on his peers and everyone around him. He was very brilliant and built his own PC computer, he had 6 months to graduate high school and aspired to join the nursing field to help save lives. General still had a lot of life to live. Through this foundation, we hope to ensure that no other child falls victim to gun violence in this way.
*We thank those who have already donated to the initial GoFundMe. All donations will be combined.*
