Yashmit’s Eagle Scout Project

Hello! My name is Yashmit Bhaverisetti, a Life Scout in MH Troop 511 and I’m working towards the highest rank in BSA, Eagle Scout. I’m a rising junior at Mountain House High School. I started my scouting journey almost 2 years ago and I have learned a lot. I gained valuable leadership experience from being SPL for 2 terms, PL and webmaster for one term each.

One of the requirements to earn the Eagle rank is, a scout must plan, develop, and give leadership to others by performing a service project that will benefit the community. For my service project, I plan to construct several raised garden beds at Questa Elementary School. A community garden is a fun and educational way to learn about important biology concepts by planting and raising vegetables/herbs. A community garden also builds important team management skills and encourages cooperation. Teachers can use this as a tool for students to learn concepts and apply them in the real world.

I plan to raise $1,500 to purchase all the materials required. This includes soil, wood, nails, paint, and more. All donations big or small are greatly appreciated. All extra funds will be donated to the school.

Donations do not necessarily have to be money, any supplies such as soil/dirt, lumber, nails, or painting supplies would be greatly appreciated. Please help me reach my goal and share this page with everyone you know!
