Hi, my name is Kristen and I'm helping to raise the out of pocket fees for Yasmins surgery.

I have been asked many times doesn't she have health insurance to cover this? Yes. However. The doctor insurance approves MISSED what could have been a more treatable situation and now her life is at risk, she is going to an out of network surgeon whom she trusts with her life better. Funds are so high due to after surgery she will need to recover in the ICU and hospital for 3-4 weeks after.

This last year has been difficult to find a diagnosis and been causing her so much pain. She has been in and out of hospitals with several procedures done to find she needs emergency surgery now for a large pancreatic tumor, along with several pancreatic cysts. Her surgery is life threatening and leaving her unable to work or even carry her 11 month old daughter in fear a cyst will burst and end her life. Her surgery is the last week of May it was postponed until then to try to increase her survival rate from 10%.

Yasmin is not the type of person to ask for help and has FINALLY allowed for someone to help, just this last year alone she has been on bedrest almost loosing her pregnancy, and Natalia was born with CDH and spent a bit of time in the NICU. Never did she ask for help or let it show.
