Help Emma Overcome Her Medical Challenges

Hi, my name is Jessica Ford, one year ago this month, my daughter Emma was taken by ambulance from the hospital in Laramie, Wyoming to Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. She was diagnosed with Orbital Cellulitus and Pott's Puffy Tumor. This infection inflames the tissue and skin around the eye, and for Emma, caused the right frontal lobe of her brain to swell. The infection also deteriorated her ethmoid bone and caused significant swelling in her forehead. For the past year she has been suffering from constant headaches, chronic paranasal sinusitus disease, stomach pain, swelling in her forehead, and short term memory loss. She has had 6 MRI's with contrast, two of them this week, 3 CT scans, an X-ray of her sinuses last week, 2 sleep studies, and another scheduled in February due to severe obstructive sleep apnea. She had her tonsils, adenoids, and tissue on her voicebox removed as well as her turbinates shrunken in September, and they are currently looking at sinus surgery soon. She has also been referred to Mayo Clinic to see multiple specialists for 1-2 solid weeks in Rochester, Minnesota.

The cost of Emma's medical treatment is becoming very difficult for me as a single mom, even with health insurance. We currently travel multiple times a month to Colorado and have to pay for hotel stays. We will be having to find housing as well in Rochester for the duration of her appointments.
